A fresh batch of films has dropped across streaming platforms and video-on-demand services this weekend, offering a mix of horror, comedy, thrillers, and family adventures.

Leading the charge is The Monkey, a dark horror comedy based on Stephen King’s short story and directed by Osgood Perkins. The film follows identical twins who attempt to destroy a cursed cymbal-banging toy monkey, starring Theo James and Tatiana Maslany.

Netflix welcomes One of Them Days, a buddy comedy featuring Keke Palmer and SZA as two friends racing to gather rent money in a chaotic 24-hour spree. The duo’s hilarious misadventures include sketchy loans and rooftop sneaker rescues.

Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag is another standout this week, now available on VOD. This spy thriller stars Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender as married British intelligence agents whose trust is tested when one becomes a suspect in a stolen malware case.

Also new to VOD is Paddington in Peru, the charming return of the beloved bear who heads into the jungle to find his missing Aunt Lucy. It’s a family-friendly adventure with appearances by Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas.

Y2K is a horror comedy where outdated tech turns deadly on New Year's Eve 1999. As electronics come to life, a teen party spirals into chaos. Starring Jaeden Martell and Rachel Zegler, it’s a wild, retro ride packed with gore, laughs, and nostalgia.

Other notable debuts include the psychological thriller Opus, the musical drama The Colors Within, and the neo-Western The Last Stop in Yuma County. On Shudder, 825 Forest Road explores a haunting small-town mystery, while animation fans can enjoy Night of the Zoopocalypse, available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu.
