Western wind system brings rain to city

Various parts of the city experience light rain showers and drizzle on Monday evening under the influence of the western wind system entering the country through Balochistan. However, there is no forecast of heavy rainfall in the city.

The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius, which is one degree higher than the previous day. Due to the western wind system, high-level clouds hovered over the city, causing intermittent cloud cover throughout the day.

In the evening, light rain showers and drizzle were reported in various parts of the old city, while Surjani Town, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Quaidabad, Bin Qasim, Landhi, and Malir experienced scattered rain showers. Earlier in the day, the minimum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Depart-ment, the system will continue to affect the city, resulting in cloudy skies and scattered rain showers in outskirts of the city. However, there is no forecast of heavy rainfall.
