Punjab road crashes claim 22 lives

Lahore recorded the highest number of accidents, with 240 crashes reported.

At least 22 people lost their lives, while 1,681 others sustained injuries in 1,428 road traffic crashes across Punjab over the last 24 hours, according to Rescue 1122.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Farooq Ahmed said that 724 severely injured individuals were rushed to hospitals for medical assistance, whereas 957 victims with minor injuries were treated on-site.

Lahore recorded the highest number of accidents, with 240 crashes reported, followed by Gujranwala (93) and Faisalabad (90). Among the injured, 1,382 were men and 299 were women.
