
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai.
At the invitation of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, PM Shehbaz will join global leaders, policymakers, and private sector figures to discuss governance, innovation, and international cooperation, according to a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other key cabinet members, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE and engaging with global partners.
During the summit, the prime minister is expected to deliver a keynote address outlining Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation, and governance reforms.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with the UAE leadership, as well as interact with heads of state and multinational CEOs attending the event.
“Pakistan and the UAE share a deep-rooted relationship based on mutual trust and cooperation,” the Foreign Office stated, adding that the UAE remains a key economic and strategic partner for Pakistan across multiple sectors.
The visit comes as Pakistan seeks to enhance economic collaboration and attract foreign investment.
