Cardi B proves new 'butt crack' piercing is real after fans accuse her of lying

The 32-year-old rapper posted proof of daring new piercing that left fans both shocked and skeptical.

Cardi B is no stranger to making headlines with her bold fashion and body art choices, and this week was no exception. The 32-year-old rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to debut a daring new piercing that left fans both shocked and skeptical.  

The mom-of-three first teased her new look with a tweet that read, "Soooo …….i got my butt crack pierced" accompanied by a laughing emoji. However, fans were quick to question whether the piercing was real, prompting Cardi to return with photographic proof.

In a follow-up post, the hip-hop star shared an up-close photo of the piercing, which featured two diamond studs adorning the upper portion of her buttocks. "Do I lie?" she captioned the NSFW image, shutting down any doubts about its authenticity.

The reveal sparked a wave of reactions from fans, with some expressing disbelief and others applauding her boldness. "How is it even physically possible?!" one fan wrote, while another joked, "What happens if you forget about it for months???"  

This isn’t the first time Cardi has surprised fans with her extensive collection of piercings and tattoos. In 2020, she shared a graphic video showing her body rejecting a chest piercing, and last year, she added a new ear piercing while shopping at a Los Angeles jewelry store. Her body art also includes intricate tattoos, such as a colorful peacock and butterfly design spanning her thigh to her ribcage and a massive floral back piece featuring butterflies and a hummingbird.

The new piercing comes amid a busy time for Cardi, who recently shared a sweet family photo with two of her children, Kulture, six, and Wave, three. "I missed my babies," she captioned the Instagram Story snap, which showed her spending quality time with her kids amid her ongoing divorce from rapper Offset.  

Cardi and Offset, who share three children together, have had a tumultuous relationship. The couple married in September 2017 but split in 2018 due to allegations of infidelity. They reconciled, only for Cardi to file for divorce again in September 2020, which she later called off. In July 2024, she filed for divorce for the second time, and tensions have remained high.  

In October, Cardi publicly slammed Offset in a now-deleted X rant, calling him a "garbage bag" and a "dirty a narcissistic piece of s." She clarified that she didn’t wish him harm but added, "I never hated somebody soooo much" as him.
