Kanye West has spent the last eight months abroad, sparking speculation about his absence from his family. While ex-wife Kim Kardashian manages wildfire threats in Calabasas, sources at DailyMail say Kanye’s distance has nothing to do with avoiding his kids.
“Kanye’s reasoning for not being [in America] has nothing to do with his children and has everything to do with the multiple lawsuits that he is facing in the states,” told insiders.
The 47-year-old rapper has been traveling across the world with wife Bianca Censori, from Paris to Tokyo. However, legal troubles—including lawsuits for wrongful termination and sexual harassment by ex-assistant Lauren Pisciotta—loom large. Pisciotta alleges Kanye harassed her, forced her to recruit sex workers, and withheld payment. West has denied these claims.
In June, Kanye was also named in an updated filing connected to Pisciotta, alleging sexual assault prior to her employment. His lawyer has accused Pisciotta of stalling the case, while Kanye reportedly fears involvement as a witness in the federal investigation against Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Diddy, a former close friend, faces allegations of sex trafficking, which have cast a shadow over Kanye’s reputation due to their past ties. “With all this stuff with Diddy, Kanye is terrified,” sources revealed.
Despite staying in contact with his children through calls and FaceTime, Kanye’s long-term avoidance of the US has fueled criticism.
