A new lawsuit has been filed against Sean "Diddy" Combs, accusing him of raping a 16-year-old babysitter in New York City in 2000.
The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, alleges that Combs offered her a drink that made her feel "groggy" before assaulting her. She claims that Combs asked her to get in his car after she finished babysitting, and despite initially refusing, she eventually got in.
According to the lawsuit, Combs took Jane Doe to another location, where he allegedly raped her. She was then taken home and left in the lobby of her apartment building.
Combs' attorneys have denied the allegations, stating that he has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone. "No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won't change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted, or sex trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor," his legal team said.
Combs is currently behind bars in Brooklyn awaiting trial on federal sex crime charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty. This lawsuit is the latest in a string of allegations against Combs, with over 30 lawsuits filed accusing him of sexual misconduct.
The allegations against Combs are disturbing and have sparked widespread outrage. The case highlights the importance of believing survivors of sexual assault and holding perpetrators accountable.
