As wildfires ravaged Los Angeles County, a clip from Joe Rogan's podcast featuring President-elect Donald Trump resurfaced on social media. In the episode, recorded weeks before the election, Rogan and Trump discussed the possibility of a major wildfire in the LA area, with Trump also critiquing California's water management policies.

The viral clip emerged as at least six large wildfires in Los Angeles prompted evacuation orders for thousands of residents. Authorities confirmed five fatalities, with the toll expected to rise.

One social media user shared the video, writing: "Six months ago, Joe Rogan recounted being told by a firefighter that LA could burn down under the worst conditions."

Another user added: "Donald Trump was mocked for sounding the alarm on the California water/fire crisis during his interview with Joe Rogan. Turns out, he was right. Trump spent nearly 7 minutes ranting about the issue, blasting Newsom for doing nothing to fix the problem."

During the podcast, Rogan recalled a conversation with a firefighter who warned about the likelihood of a catastrophic wildfire in Los Angeles.

"I talked to a fireman once ... and he was telling me, ‘dude one day it's just going to be the right wind,’" Rogan said, referencing how wind could spread embers across LA's dry climate, making the fire uncontrollable.

Trump criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom for poor water management, citing reports from firefighters struggling with a lack of water and hydrants during the ongoing crisis.
