JI voices concern over 'controversial' BIEK results

A large number of students have been failed in the exams of Intermediate part I of Science Groups

A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami's Public Aid Committee (PAC) led by Member Provincial Assembly Muhammad Farooq held a meeting with Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) Ameer Hussain Qadri in his office to present reservations regarding the controversial results of Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering Annual Examinations.

The delegation expressed concern that a large number of students have been failed in the exams of Intermediate part I of Science Groups. An estimated 67 per cent of the candidates have failed in more than one paper. The delegation told the BIEK Chairman that the results were incomprehensible.

The PAC delegation further stated that such a serious mistake and irregularity has not only created great anger and resentment among the students and their parents, but has also put the future of thousands of students at stake. The unbelievable difference in the results of different boards of the same province is a big question marks on the board's procedures. The delegation stressed on the redressal of this 'irregularity' as soon as possible.

BIEK Chairman Ameer Hussain Qadri assured to address the reservations of Jamaat-e-Islami, saying that a complete scrutiny of all controversial cases would be conducted. He assured the delegation that the affected students would approach BIEK committee with the relevant documents to get their results scrutinised.
