Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is facing widespread backlash after launching a new line of Yeezy clothing on December 26, which features T-shirts, hoodies, and jackets priced at $20 each.
Critics have pointed out that several of the garments include logos resembling the Wolfsangel symbol, a design with strong ties to Nazi Germany. The symbol, used by various SS units during World War II, is now associated with neo-Nazi groups, including the white supremacist organization Aryan Nations.
This controversy adds to Ye’s history of making controversial choices linked to neo-Nazi symbolism. Earlier this year, he faced criticism for wearing a shirt featuring Varg Vikernes, a Norwegian death-metal musician with neo-Nazi ties. Ye has also made public comments expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler, notably during a 2018 visit to TMZ, which led to widespread outrage.
