Quentin Tarantino recently shared his thoughts on the hit show 'Yellowstone', admitting he initially avoided watching it.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood director explained that he didn’t start the series until three years after its debut, but once he did, he became hooked. “I watch the first season and I'm like, ‘Wow, this is f**king great!’” Tarantino said. He went on to watch three seasons of 'Yellowstone' as well as its spin-off, '1883', calling it "like a big movie."
However, Tarantino ultimately described the show as a "soap opera." He acknowledged the complexity of the characters and their backstories, but argued that the series was largely driven by the dynamics of those relationships, making it more about "the compellingness of the soap opera."
Fans of 'Yellowstone' were quick to react on social media, criticizing Tarantino's remarks. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “Is there anything that man does like besides his own work?” Another added, “He also loves to hear himself talk.” Despite the backlash, Tarantino's comments reflect his honest take on the show, albeit with a harsh assessment of its narrative structure.
