Fans are calling for Adam Driver to play Severus Snape in the upcoming Harry Potter series amid casting rumors.

Harry Potter fans are calling for Adam Driver to be cast as Professor Severus Snape in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series.

While British actor Paapa Essiedu is reportedly being considered for the role, many fans believe Driver, known for his roles in 'Star Wars' and 'Marriage Story', would be a perfect fit.

Fans have pointed to his voice, physical resemblance, and acting range as reasons why he could do justice to Snape’s complex character.

Essiedu, 34, known for his work in 'I May Destroy You' and 'Gangs of London', is said to be in talks for the role, but no official deal has been made yet. The character of Snape, previously portrayed by the late Alan Rickman, is one of the most beloved and complicated figures in the Harry Potter series.

Driver, 41, has long been praised for his ability to play intense and layered characters, making him a popular choice among fans for Snape.

Though casting rumors are swirling, HBO has yet to confirm any official details, with a spokesperson stating that decisions will be finalized as pre-production progresses. Fans, however, continue to rally behind their favorite candidates, with many feeling that Driver could bring something unique to the role.
