KARACHI:

The provincial capital has become a victim of environmental pollution with extremely unhealthy air, said Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) in a statement.

The air is so polluted that people are developing ailments like asthma. "The air we breathe to stay alive is giving us breathing problems, making us sick," PST said in a press release issued on Wednesday.

"Not only are new trees not being planted in Karachi, but old trees are being cut down," PST said.
