Balochistan CM says his doors are always open to offer help

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced a 100 percent increase in scholarships for disabled individuals during a ceremony marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Quetta.

The announcement reflects the provincial government's commitment to improving the lives of disabled persons and ensuring their inclusion in society.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Bugti highlighted several key initiatives, including the expansion of the "Kamk Program" to provide greater support for disabled individuals and the allocation of a separate budget for their welfare in the upcoming financial year.

"The doors of the CM House are always open for the disabled. We will fully patronise them and ensure their participation in policymaking," Bugti said. He also directed the removal of unnecessary speed breakers to facilitate mobility and announced the provision of pink scooters for disabled women.

The CM further assured the finalisation of legislation for disabled persons within 20 days, emphasising the government's resolve to address their challenges. "We will not leave disabled people alone and will continue to prioritize their needs," he added.

These measures have been widely praised as a step towards a more inclusive society, with stakeholders urging effective implementation to ensure tangible benefits for disabled individuals across Balochistan.
