British grime legend Chip is gearing up for an unforgettable concert in early 2025, following the success of his latest single, ‘Grime Scene Saviours.’
The 34-year-old North London rapper has confirmed a massive 20-MC performance set for February 20, 2025, at Outernet in London.
Chip, who has long been a vocal advocate for the U.K. grime scene, is taking matters into his own hands as the genre faces competition from newer styles like drill. In late November, he dropped ‘Grime Scene Saviours,’ a high-energy single featuring a lineup of grime heavyweights including D Double E, Frisco, Skepta, Flirta D, JME, Bruza, Novelist, and more. The track was a statement, reinforcing grime’s vital presence in British music.
Looking ahead to the concert, Chip promises a performance that honors grime’s raw roots. “No f*cking PA edits. No MC’ing over vocals,” he declared. “Straight LIVE!!! INSTRUMENTALS. MC’ing!!! GRIME!!! RAW!!!!” The show will include a one-hour b2b set from Mak & Max, alongside 20 MCs bringing their best.
Tickets are available now with the purchase of Chip’s “secret project,” and general ticket sales open on February 6. Jahmaal Noel Fyffe, better known as Chip, has been a major figure in the grime scene for over 14 years, collaborating with artists like Skepta, Meek Mill, and T.I. He’s also known for hits like ‘Oopsy Daisy’ and ‘Champion.’
