Malaysian influencer Sabrina Azhar has come forward with serious allegations against Wild Entertainment, a Singapore-based talent agency managing high-profile talents such as Sorn (formerly of CLC), Seungyeon, Liza Soberano, and YouTuber Edward Avila. Sabrina detailed her experiences during her tenure at Wild, accusing CEO Leonard Lim of misconduct, exploitative practices, and mismanagement.

Exploitative Contracts and Mismanagement

Sabrina revealed that Wild Entertainment took an unusually high 50% cut of non-idol talent salaries and falsely claimed credit for projects she organized independently. When confronted about their lack of investment in her career and allegations of an inappropriate relationship with another talent, Leonard Lim allegedly lashed out and attempted to coerce her into signing a new contract under the threat of financial penalties.

With the help of legal counsel, Sabrina was able to exit the agency, but she shared that another talent, allegedly involved in the inappropriate relationship, faced continued mistreatment.

Fans Misdirected Blame Amid PR Spin

While Sabrina's revelations were gaining traction, fans of CLC’s Sorn mistakenly assumed she was the unnamed victim in the allegations. This misunderstanding diverted attention from Sabrina’s claims, allowing Wild Entertainment to dismiss the accusations as baseless rumors. The agency issued a public relations statement defending its CEO and Sorn, effectively downplaying the scandal.

Kapsul Collective: The Fake Jewelry Scandal

In addition to these allegations, Sabrina exposed Wild Entertainment's connection to Kapsul Collective, a "designer jewelry" brand co-founded by Leonard Lim and influencer Emily Mei. Despite collaborations with notable K-pop stars like Amber Liu, 2PM's Nichkhun, and Kevin Woo, fans uncovered that Kapsul Collective was reselling inexpensive jewelry falsely marketed as original designs.

Several customers reported never receiving their orders, while others highlighted discrepancies between the advertised designs and delivered products. Sabrina also alleged that proceeds from the jewelry brand funded Leonard Lim's luxury lifestyle rather than agency operations.

NFT Campaigns and Continued Backlash

Following the jewelry scandal, Emily Mei and Leonard Lim briefly shifted focus to an NFT campaign through Emily’s NFT company, further drawing criticism from fans. Currently, the pair collaborates on Sorn's K-pop-themed podcast, which has faced skepticism due to the controversies surrounding Wild Entertainment.

Call for Accountability

Sabrina’s accusations have reignited discussions about accountability and ethical practices in talent management. While Wild Entertainment has yet to issue a formal response addressing these new allegations, fans and industry observers continue to demand transparency and reform.

As the story unfolds, the spotlight remains on Leonard Lim and Wild Entertainment’s practices, with Sabrina Azhar’s revelations fueling a broader conversation about exploitation and integrity in the entertainment industry.
