PESHAWAR:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa does not require the presence of Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, in any case, as there are no pending corruption cases or inquiries against her. In this regard, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has submitted its report to the Peshawar High Court in response to a case filed for details of such matters.

The Special Prosecutor General of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Ali, submitted the report, stating that the Peshawar High Court had sought details of cases and inquiries related to Bushra Bibi. In response, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa filed a detailed report with the High Court. The report confirms that there is currently no inquiry or case registered against Bushra Bibi in NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It is noteworthy that Bushra Bibi had filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court requesting details of cases against her from federal and Punjab governments, FIA, and NAB. In response to this, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa submitted its reply yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Peshawar High Court has scheduled the hearing for the petition filed by Bushra Bibi, seeking details of cases registered against her. The court issued the cause list for the cases on Monday. A two-member bench, comprising Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Waqar Ahmed, will hear the petition.

In her application, Bushra Bibi has requested details of cases from the federal government, Punjab and Islamabad administrations, and other relevant parties. On October 29, the PHC had directed the federal government, Punjab government, Islamabad administration, FIA, and other federal investigative agencies to provide details of the cases against her.

Additionally, the court granted her protective bail until November 18. According to Bushra Bibi's lawyer, they will request the court today to extend her protective bail.

Shibli Faraz cases

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shibli Faraz has filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court, seeking details of cases registered against him. The petition was submitted through the PHCBA Secretary General Alam Khan Adeenzai.

The petition names the federal government, Punjab government, Islamabad administration, FIA, NAB, and other relevant institutions as respondents. It argues that the petitioner is unaware of the number and nature of cases registered against him by the federal and Punjab governments/other parties.

He has requested that the details of these cases be provided so he can appear before the relevant courts. Additionally, the petition seeks protective bail for the petitioner, allowing him to approach the courts without fear of arrest.

JI leader sent to jail
