Lil Durk’s alleged jail call revealed: Rapper denies claims of protective custody

An alleged jail call with Lil Durk, shared by an associate, marks his first public statement since arrest.

An associate of Lil Durk recently shared an audio clip of an alleged jail call with the rapper, marking what could be his first public communication since his arrest last month. Lil Durk was taken into federal custody on October 24 and charged with murder-for-hire in connection with Quando Rondo, which led to the death of Lul Pab in the crossfire.  

Five members of Durk’s OTF crew were also arrested shortly after the All My Life rapper was detained. Those arrested include David Brian Lindsey (aka Browneyez), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (aka DeDe), Asa Houston (aka Boogie), Kavon London Grant (aka Vonnie), and Keith Jones (aka Flacka).  

On Friday, November 15, an Instagram user (@900bruhbruh) shared what he claimed to be a prison conversation with Lil Durk. 

During the two-minute call, the rapper assured the user that he was maintaining high spirits. The caption on the post read: "Just got off the phone with my brudda @lildurk he in good spirits staying positive and fighting to get back home to his kids and family…We not glorifying negativity, we’re more than just street guys. that’s actually a understatement we’re men of honor & code no matter our financial status..bro hit the Mainline with the rest of our kind…NO PC."  

In the call, Lil Durk mentioned that he was being treated relatively well in prison and was not in protective custody.  

Although the relationship between Lil Durk and @900bruhbruh is unclear, the rapper’s Instagram activity shows links to Durk’s OTF label. His posts indicate collaborations with OTF rappers such as Bonnie Moe and photos with Booka 600 and Lil Durk himself.  

In a 2022 post, the rapper expressed gratitude to Lil Durk for his support. The caption read:  
“On This same day 2 years ago I was in the ‘back seat’ goin on skitz now I’m ‘back stage’ goin on tour...blood solid as they come. @lildurk 4eva LOYAL BROS."
