Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir Affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam, has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), despite its third consecutive term, has failed to deliver for the welfare of people in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He added that if anything, the problems of the masses have multiplied.

Muqam was addressing a large public gathering in the city.

Muqam said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz strongly believed in people's welfare and the uniform development of Pakistan. He claimed people were aware that PML-N's leadership has all the ability and strength to see the country through all challenges, and put it on the road to prosperity.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was tirelessly working to take the country forward and put it on the path of progress, besides providing relief to the masses.

The federal minister said that the successful hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad has enhanced Pakistan's image on a global level.

He said containing inflation below seven per cent and a record increase in the stock exchange, besides the revival of the economy, was made possible due to the untiring efforts of the PM, and his finance team.

Muqam said some elements, raising hollow slogans of 'true freedom', did not appreciate political stability in the country. He said people were fully aware of who was using a foreign lobby for the release of PTI Founder Imran Khan.

The minister said that raising the flag of a superpower in Swabi's PTI public meeting, and "staging the cipher drama for political gains" has been laid bare for all to see. Muqam ruled out granting a national reconciliation ordinance under foreign pressure, reiterating that only courts would decide the cases of Imran Khan.

"The K-P CM has failed to address teachers' genuine problems, and the precious time of thousands of students is being wasted."

He advised the CM to address teachers' problems on a priority basis and focus on improving the security situation in the province, rather than provoking workers against state institutions.

He said the K-P Assembly should be used for the empowerment of the masses, not against political opponents.

Muqam said that the people of the Malakand Division had suffered due to terrorism and floods. "The region needs fast-track development."

He said that the PTI government had failed to construct the Dir-Chitral Motorway, despite earlier promises.

The minister said that only the PML-N govt has completed record numbers of projects, such as providing gas, electricity, and road infrastructure in the Malakand Division.

He said that the construction of the Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital in Swat was a gift of the PML-N government, benefiting thousands of patients every year. Muqam said that the Malakand Division has been exempted from taxes for a year to provide relief to the people.
