Authorities investigating Liam Payne's death are focusing on a Dove soap box found in his Buenos Aires hotel room, which may have been used to deliver drugs.

According to TMZ, police are exploring whether a Casa Sur hotel employee provided Payne with drugs through the soap box to keep them hidden. The box was found alongside drug paraphernalia, such as tin foil and white powder.

Sources told TMZ that investigators are looking into the involvement of a hotel staff member who may have supplied Payne with anti-anxiety medication and other drugs. The singer’s autopsy report revealed traces of cocaine, methamphetamines, ketamine, MDMA, and pink cocaine, a recreational drug that combines MDMA, ketamine, and methamphetamine, according to Argentine media outlets.

The investigation also involves seizing computer hard drives and camera footage from the hotel. Payne’s bodyguard, Paul Higgins, and his father, Geoff Payne, have been assisting authorities in the investigation. Payne died on October 16 after falling from a third-floor balcony, with his autopsy indicating internal and external injuries caused by the fall.

Police continue to probe the circumstances of his death, with additional focus on the substances found in his system and their source.
