Kate Cassidy, the girlfriend of Liam Payne, revealed that the former One Direction star had planned to marry her within a year before his tragic death. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Cassidy shared that she and Payne had discussed their future just weeks before he passed away.

Payne, 31, died on October 16 after falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A postmortem report confirmed that he succumbed to multiple traumas and internal hemorrhages.

Cassidy expressed her grief, calling Payne the "best part" of her life and stating that she’s struggling to cope with the loss. She also shared a note Payne had written about their future together, where he envisioned them getting married.

Despite the tragedy, Cassidy said she feels he’ll always be with her, calling him her “guardian angel.” The couple had been dating for two years before his untimely death, and Cassidy promised to cherish their dreams and memories.
