Ariana Grande recently entertained fans with a spot-on impersonation of TikTok influencer Nara Smith in a get-ready-with-me video.

While preparing for the Academy Museum Gala on October 19, the singer imitated Smith’s well-known “made from scratch” monologues, saying, “When I got home from the Academy Gala, I made my kids some Capri Sun from scratch and I zested some lemons.” Grande added that the intense makeup process made her think of the viral TikTok star, who is known for her soft-spoken voice and detailed cooking videos.

Fans praised Grande’s impersonation, and Nara Smith herself responded, sharing on Instagram Stories that she “giggled” after watching the video. Smith, who has amassed 10.3 million TikTok followers, is known for making non-processed food for her three children and credits her upbringing in Germany for her culinary skills. “I grew up going with my grandma and dad to the grocery store every single day. It was normal to make fresh bread, sometimes fresh pasta,” Smith told The Sunday Times.

Grande’s video followed a recent Saturday Night Live sketch that parodied influencers, including Smith, and poked fun at their popular TikTok content. Smith’s calm, ASMR-like narration in her videos originated from trying not to wake her sleeping children, and it has since become her signature style.
