ISLAMABAD:

The IHC will take up on Tuesday (today) a request of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry for removal of his name from the travel-ban list to enable him to proceed to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

During a hearing on Monday, IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq asked that when Chaudhry wanted to go for Umrah. On that Fawad Chaudhry replied that he intended to go on 25th.

The chief justice then remarked that he would register his main application for Tuesday (today). About a month ago, Chaudhry had moved the IHC for the removal of his name from the ECL. Talking to the media at that time, he had said that the current government had put almost half of Pakistan on the ECL.
