The interview, in which Hathaway bluntly refused to sing her responses and answered with curt "No"s to several questions, recently gained attention when Flaa shared the footage on YouTube in a video titled "This might be my worst interview idea ever."

Flaa revealed in a follow-up video that she had received an unexpected apology from Hathaway via email through the actor's publicist. The journalist shared her reaction, stating, “I had not expected her to reach out to me at all… but she did something pretty amazing." Hathaway reportedly explained what she was going through at the time and apologized for the "awful interview."

Flaa described the email as "very personal" and noted that Hathaway also invited her to interview her again for her next project to make amends. The incident echoes another of Flaa's experiences, where she called out Blake Lively for a "nightmare" interview in 2016.
