Charli xcx has released the highly anticipated remix of her track “Talk Talk,” featuring Troye Sivan and a special appearance by Dua Lipa.
The remix, which premiered on September 12, showcases both xcx and Sivan planning a steamy rendezvous in the lyrics. The remix arrived just before the pair's Sweat Tour begins in Detroit.
Dua Lipa contributes to the remix with a multilingual touch, speaking Spanish and French at the beginning and end of the track. Lipa opens the remix with, "Hay una fiesta en mi casa, vengan. Será muy divertido," which translates to "There is a party at my house, come. It will be very fun."
She wraps up with, "J'ai perdu mon téléphone mais tu sais quoi? Ça valait la peine parce que c'était une soirée de fou," meaning, "I lost my phone, but you know what? It was worth it because it was an insane party."
The remix maintains much of Charli’s original lyrics but includes additional explicit content. Charli's new verse features lyrics like, "You're thinkin' 'bout me / No, don't pretend that you aren't / We're still obsessed like we just met / And when you f--- me, it's crazy." Troye Sivan's contribution includes lyrics about a hotel encounter: "K, here’s the plan / I wanna fly you out to Amsterdam / I got a good hotel to f--- you in."
In a recent Instagram post, Charli xcx also announced a reimagined version of her latest album, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat. This album, releasing on October 11, includes the original tracklist along with three deluxe edition songs and several remixes, including “Talk Talk” featuring Sivan.
The remix’s release is complemented by a teaser video shared by Charli xcx, Sivan, and photographer Terrence O'Connor, showcasing their excitement and the track's energetic vibe.
