James McAvoy shares awkward encounter with celebrity crush Jennifer Aniston

James McAvoy's childhood crush on Jennifer Aniston led to a cringeworthy encounter at a Hollywood party.

Actor James McAvoy recently revealed a hilarious and relatable story about meeting his childhood celebrity crush, Jennifer Aniston.

On Watch What Happens Live, McAvoy confessed to host Andy Cohen that he had a huge crush on the Friends star growing up.   

The awkward encounter happened years later at a Hollywood party. McAvoy was introduced to Aniston by actress Lucy Liu, but the introduction went awry, leaving McAvoy floundering in front of his crush.

Nervous and starstruck, McAvoy blurted out a painfully obvious statement to Aniston: "So you're Jennifer Aniston and you're in Friends."

The cringeworthy moment left a lasting impression on the actor, who described the experience as "rough." However, he was quick to add that Aniston was "lovely" throughout the ordeal.

McAvoy joins a long list of celebrities who have admitted to being smitten with Aniston. Her Friends co-star David Schwimmer and actor Jake Gyllenhaal have both confessed to having crushes on her in the past.
