Matthew Gaudreau, who tragically lost his life in a bike accident with his brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, was filled with excitement about becoming a father for the first time. His wife, Madeline Gaudreau, expressed her profound grief on Instagram, sharing footage from their gender reveal and writing, "The proudest dad. Matty couldn't wait to be a dad."

The couple had announced their pregnancy in June, with their son due in December. Sadly, tragedy struck just two months later when Matthew, aged 29, and his older brother Johnny, 31, were fatally hit by a drunk driver while cycling in New Jersey.
