Liam Payne faces backlash for telling girlfriend Kate Cassidy she’s 'nice and covered up for once!'

Liam Payne just found another reason to admire Kate Cassidy's beauty. 

He complimented his girlfriend's recent date night look in a TikTok video she shared on August 13, with the caption, "Who did it best."

Liam expressed his admiration for her understated black outfit, featuring a Revolve button-up top, Revolve trousers, a red quilted Chanel bag, and Dior heels. In the video, he told her, "You look great," adding, "Nice and covered up for once." 

Some social media users were taken aback by his comment, with one remarking, “‘For once’ is actually insane.”

Kate appeared to take Liam’s comment in stride, smiling as she showed off her outfit. When another social media user noted that Liam, 30, seemed to be displaying some "sass" in his remarks, Kate responded with a playful, "FOR ONCE."

The couple, who have been together for two years, were dressed up for a sushi dinner with friends, with Kate praising Liam’s outfit as "so cool" in the video. 

"We’re back in England," she added, "so we’re super happy."

Kate, 25, recently shared how she manifested her relationship with Liam—who has a 7-year-old son, Bear, with ex Cheryl Cole—when she was a pre-teen. On TikTok in November, she revealed that she made popsicle stick fan art of a brown-haired Liam when she was 10, saying, "I am the best manifester, and I'm going to show you why," She then showed a childhood photo of her room, featuring a real-life Liam on her bed, joking, "Careful what you wish for."

Kate has been offering more glimpses into their relationship on social media. In a 14 Questions video earlier this month, she revealed that Liam was the first to say "I love you." The clip also highlighted that Liam is the more romantic one in their relationship, while Kate is the more patient one.
