On the special directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a commemorative stamp titled "Azm-e-Istehkam” (commitment to stability) was issued on the occasion of Pakistan's 77th Independence Day. The stamp honours javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem by featuring his image.
Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 metres, securing a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. He has become an inspiration for the youth. The stamp, bearing the title "Azm-e-Istehkam," symbolises the nation's dedication to progress and stability.
The design also includes an image of Minar-e-Pakistan, highlighting the significance of the struggle for Pakistan's independence.
The government hopes that the stamp will educate future generations about the sacrifices made for the nation's freedom and the ongoing efforts for national stability.
