Kanye West has taken to Instagram to express his discontent with Atlantic Records in the wake of releasing his latest collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign, "Vultures 2."

The album, which dropped unexpectedly after several delays, has been met with mixed reviews and promises of real-time updates to its tracks.

Amidst this turmoil, West revealed a contentious interaction involving Atlantic Records.

In a recent Instagram Story, West shared a screenshot informing him of Julie Greenwald's firing from Atlantic.

The message detailed that the new leadership at Atlantic would not be providing a grace period to address compensation issues related to the "Vultures" series.

According to the screenshot, if not resolved promptly, Atlantic demands 40% of all revenue from both "Vultures 1" and "Vultures 2" and threatens to take down the albums.

"This is what 'they' do to independent artists," West captioned the post, questioning the integrity of the record label's treatment towards artists.

The timing of this dispute aligns with Greenwald's planned departure in September, with her commitment to assist the new CEO, Elliot Grainge, until January.

The revelation comes shortly after West's return to Instagram, sparking curiosity among fans about his next moves and commentary in the industry.

West’s open critique of Atlantic Records highlights ongoing challenges faced by artists in the music business, especially regarding label agreements and revenue sharing.
