Sabrina Carpenter is enjoying a standout summer, with her new album reaching No. 1 on the charts.
The album features tracks such as "Please Please Please," which includes a humorous music video starring her boyfriend, actor Barry Keoghan.
In a recent interview, Carpenter shared Keoghan’s enthusiastic reaction, noting, “He loved the song. He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that. I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
Carpenter also discussed the support she received from her best friend, Taylor Swift.
She remarked, “I’m so happy I finished this album before any of the songs came out. Not that I think I would have let [the singles’ success] get in my head. But I really do think sometimes you can’t help but write from a different perspective after experiencing certain life events.
“I’m trying to avoid calling this ‘my dream album,’ because I don’t think I would have been able to dream up this set of songs a couple years ago.”
