Ava Max might be Lady Gaga’s doppelganger: pop icons share shocking similarities

Ava often sports a platinum blond hair color similar to Gaga's usual shade.

On Tuesday, fans of Lady Gaga and Ava Max were seeing double.

The confusion started when Gaga, 38, shared a close-up photo of her makeup on Instagram to promote her Haus Labs liquid eyeliner.

The photo was well-received by fans, but many commenters were surprised by the striking resemblance between the singer and actress Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta and fellow singer Ava Max, 30.

To highlight the similarity between the pop stars' faces, a photoshopped version of Gaga's photo began circulating on X (formerly Twitter), featuring Ava's face in place of Gaga's. 

Fans of both singers had difficulty distinguishing the Paris Olympics opening ceremony performer from the Sweet But Psycho singer.

One comment read, “the way I thought it was the same person.”

Gaga's close-up photo showcased her defined features and heavily made-up face in an extreme close-up.

She styled her bleached blond hair with a middle part, allowing it to fall over her shoulders in a trendy, slightly tousled, and slightly wet appearance.

The hitmaker sported a shiny black patent leather jacket with an upturned collar, complemented by a muted red-orange lip color. 

Her look was completed with bold black double-winged eyeliner and accents of powder blue and brown.

Ava, who often sports a platinum blond hair color similar to Gaga's usual shade, already had comparable features to the veteran songwriter. 

Additionally, in an alternate image for her debut studio album Heaven & Hell, Ava was styled with eye makeup that closely resembled Gaga's. 

The album, released in September 2020, peaked at number 27 on the Billboard 200 and reached number two on the UK charts.
