A U.S. tour featuring Ms. Lauryn Hill and the Fugees, scheduled for late summer and fall, has been canceled.
The tour dates have been removed from Ticketmaster, and ticketholders were notified about refunds late Tuesday.
The refund notices sent to fans did not include a reason for the cancellation. Representatives for Hill and the tour promoter, Live Nation, have not yet responded to requests for comment.
The tour was scheduled to start on Friday in Tampa, with the U.S. leg ending at the Hollywood Bowl on September 17 and shows in New York and New Jersey on September 20-21.
Other cities affected by the cancellation included Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, and Milwaukee, totaling 18 U.S. dates.
While all U.S. dates have been canceled, tickets are still available for the international segment of the tour, which starts in Manchester, England on October 12 and concludes in Amsterdam on October 22, with performances in London and Paris in between.
It is uncertain whether these European dates will face the same fate as the American tour or if they will proceed as planned.
Hill’s social feeds do not have any updates about her tour status, as of this writing.
The most recent tweet on the artist’s infrequently used account on X (formerly Twitter) was at the time of the tour announcement, in late June.
This is the third consecutive year that Hill and her reunited group have canceled some or all of their tour dates, leading some fans to express their disappointment over the recurring false starts.
One fan shared on X: “look I love Ms. Lauryn Hill, I would love to see her and/or The Fugees live. But at this point, knowing what we know, if you spend money on tickets for a concert… don’t expect to actually see the act.”
Another fan also expressed their disappointment towards the artist, sharing: “I remember back at my old job, the sales department had to issue refunds because she showed up over three hours late.”
