Jon Voight might have reconciled with his previously estranged daughter, Angelina Jolie, but they still disagree on many issues, especially politics.

In an interview with Variety published on Tuesday, the 85-year-old "Midnight Cowboy" actor criticized Jolie's continued support for the Palestinians, accusing her of being influenced by antisemitic rhetoric.

“She has been exposed to propaganda,” he told the outlet. “She’s been influenced by antisemitic people.”

Voight, a long-time advocate for Israel, acknowledged that his philanthropist daughter’s previous position as a special envoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has also influenced her views.

“Angie has a connection to the U.N., and she’s enjoyed speaking out for refugees,” he added. “But these people are not refugees.”

Despite her involvement with the international organization, Voight implied that the "Girl, Interrupted" actress is uninformed, asserting that people in Hollywood "have no idea what's going on."

“They’re way off,” said Voight, known for his right-wing political opinions. “It’s a bubble.”

When the reporter noted that Voight himself resides in Beverly Hills and works in Hollywood, the actor shifted the blame to the United Nations as an organization.

“I love my daughter. I don’t want to fight with my daughter,” he said heatedly. “But the fact is, I think she has been influenced by the U.N. From the beginning, it’s been awful with human rights. They call it human rights, but it’s just anti-Israel bashing.”

“She’s ignorant of what the real stakes are and what the real story is because she’s in the loop of the United Nations,” he doubled down.

The outlet reported that Voight repeatedly criticized Jolie's "ignorance" during their interview, comparing his attacks to a candidate targeting an opponent in a 30-second ad.

A source close to the “Maleficent” star, 49, told Variety that she wishes her father “well” but “does not speak about him publicly.”
