Youth gunned down over enmity

A young man was shot dead on BC Tower Road while returning after meeting his father who is imprisoned in a
murder case.

According to the police, Malik Shahzaib, a 22-year-old resident of Lalazar Colony, was returning on a motorcycle after meeting his father Nazir Ahmed in the district jail.

The armed attacker intercepted him near Narwala Chowk. He came on a motorcycle and opened indiscriminate fire at the victim, as a result of which he died on the spot.

According to the police, the deceased's father Nazir Ahmed is imprisoned in a murder case.

Malik Shahzaib was returning after meeting him when he was shot dead allegedly by Sheikh Abdullah alias Kaka, a resident of Raza Town, with whom his family had an ongoing enmity.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Lyallpur Town SP Rana Rehman Qadir and other officials reached the spot and took custody of the body, transferring it to the Allied Hospital Mortuary Unit for post-mortem.

The CPO sought a report from the SP and ordered the formation of teams to arrest the murderer.
