10 killed in Punjab road crashes

Out of these, 579 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals

At least 10 people died, whereas 1,310 were injured in 1223 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 579 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 731 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.

The majority (74%) involved motorbikes. Furthermore, the analysis showed those 687 drivers, 37 underage drivers, 190 pedestrians, and 443 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes.

The statistics show that 279 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 296 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list followed by Faisalabad 99 in with 107 victims and at third Multan with 72 RTCs and 81 victims.

The details further reveal that 1320 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 1,067 male and 253 female, while the age group of the victims shows that 182 were under 18 years of age, 715 were between 18 and 40 years and rest of the 423 victims were reported above 40 years of age.
