Will Smith, the renowned actor and four-time Grammy winner, has returned to the music scene with a fresh sound after a hiatus.
Since his 2017 EDM track "Get Lit," which followed his last studio album in 2005, Smith has now released a new single titled "You Can Make It," featuring the Sunday Service choir and collaboration with Fridayy.
The song delivers an uplifting message, with Smith drawing from personal experiences to offer encouragement, including reflections on past challenges like the 2022 Oscars incident with Chris Rock.
He adds, “Out of the madness out of the maze / Out of the saddest into the rays / the darkest of nights turns into day / And every storm runs out of rain.”
Smith recently shared a preview of himself playing the piano instrumental from "You Can Make It" on social media, captioning, “Through some of my darkest moments, music has always been there for me — to lift me and help me grow. It’s my humble wish that it can do the same for you and bring you all the joy and light you deserve.”
Smith concluded by saying he’s “excited” to perform the new song live on Sunday, June 30 at the 2024 BET Awards.
