Hailee Steinfeld enjoys sunny Mexico getaway with boyfriend Josh Allen

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen, who have been in a relationship since 2023, enjoyed a relaxing day with friends.

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are enjoying the sunny weather in Mexico.

The 27-year-old actress, well known for her role in Hawkeye, and the 28-year-old Buffalo Bills quarterback were seen soaking up the sun and having a beach day with friends in Mexico on June 25th, Tuesday. Allen wore multicolored swim trunks with a geometric design, while Steinfeld sported a vibrant bikini top and sweatpants.

Besides enjoying the serene area, the celebrity couple was captured in photos chatting with friends amidst lush palm trees.

Steinfeld and Allen's vacation comes over a year after they were first seen together in May of 2023. They were spotted spending time together in New York City where Allen was seen his his arm around Steinfeld’s back, which propelled a flurry of dating rumors

The football player had recently ended his long-term relationship with Brittany Williams, while Steinfeld had been in a relationship with One Direction alum Niall Horan until their breakup in 2018.

In February, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that Steinfeld and Allen are in a "serious relationship" and share similar values.

"They always planned to spend more time together after his season ended. Things have been going really well," the source revealed. "They’re both very family-oriented and driven, and they want to protect their relationship and keep it private. They’ve been on the same page with all of that."

In a past appearance on the podcast Pardon My Take  in August 2023, Allen talked about wanting to keep his dating life out of the spotlight.

When questioned about the attention that he and his girlfriend had been getting, Allen expressed disbelief that people are interested in his personal life: "The fact that anybody cares about that still blows my mind.” 

He elaborated on his discomfort from the attention, saying the photographs taken of them left him feeling uneasy: “I just felt this gross feeling - insecurity, no privacy.”

The couple both share similar values in which they prioritize spending meaningful time with family.

In October 2023, Steinfeld accompanied Lavonne, her boyfriend's mother, on a shopping trip to the Leveled Up Buffalo store in East Aurora, New York, where they bought items to support the NFL star.

Steinfeld also appeared in a TikTok video posted by Allen’s sister, Nicala Madden, celebrating during Nicala's gender reveal party for her baby.

At the end of the post, Allen and Steinfeld made guesses about whether the baby would be a boy or a girl.

“I’m the brother of the mother, and I think it's going to be a boy,” Josh guessed, followed by Hailee joining in to say: “I’m kinda feeling like it’s going to be a boy too."
