Netflix has announced the first two cities for its expansive new in-person experience venues, slated to open in 2025.
Dallas and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, will be the inaugural locations for the Netflix House entertainment complex. The streaming giant revealed the news on its blog, Tudum, on Tuesday, along with an artist's rendering of one of the sites. Both locations are set to open next year.
Netflix House marks the company’s initial venture into brick-and-mortar retail. The Dallas and King of Prussia venues will feature dining, live events, and interactive experiences based on popular Netflix shows and movies. These locations will occupy former department store spaces, each exceeding 100,000 square feet, at the King of Prussia Mall (180 North Gulph Road) near Philadelphia and the Galleria Dallas (13350 Dallas Parkway).
Building on previous pop-up experiences like 'Bridgerton,' 'Money Heist,' 'Stranger Things,' 'Squid Game,' and Netflix Bites, Netflix House aims to offer an immersive, year-round venue to explore Netflix stories and characters. "At Netflix House, you can enjoy regularly updated immersive experiences, indulge in retail therapy, and get a taste—literally—of your favorite Netflix series and films through unique food and drink offerings," said Marian Lee, Netflix’s chief marketing officer.
The exterior of each Netflix House will feature sculptures and murals of characters from popular titles. Inside, visitors can experience unique activities such as dancing on a 'Bridgerton' set replica or competing in the 'Squid Game' Glass Bridge challenge, dine at themed restaurants, and shop for merchandise like 'Stranger Things' Hellfire Club T-shirts.
