Taylor Swift bravely handled a fire emergency when she and Gracie Abrams discovered a candle had toppled over and gone in flames after their evening of dinner and drinks.

Gracie recalled that it was nearly 6 a.m. when their girls' night was interrupted to address a kitchen fire at the "Cruel Summer" singer's New York residence. She told Billboard that they had heard the candle fall earlier, but Taylor initially assumed the noise came from one of her cats.

Fortunately, Taylor was able to use a fire extinguisher to put out the flames before anyone was harmed.

"She was such a legend," Gracie said in the interview published June 18. "I don't know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do."

She continued, "We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks."

That was not the only memorable event from that night six months ago that the "Close to You" singer remembered. Gracie also mentioned that they sang and danced "like theater kids" to Taylor's unreleased “Tortured Poets Department”album. Additionally, they collaborated on a new song titled "Us," which stemmed from an instrumental track sent by producer Aaron Dessner.
