Mama June Shannon is opening up about the emotional turmoil of raising her late daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell's child, Kaitlyn, following Anna's tragic death from cancer in December 2023. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, June shared the family's daily struggles with grief and her legal battle to gain custody of Kaitlyn.
June expressed her wish that Anna was still here for her daughters and lamented the unfairness of the situation for the young girls. Pumpkin, June's other daughter, echoed the sentiment, stating that "every day is difficult for everybody" as they cope with Anna's absence.
The reality TV family revealed that Anna had not planned for the custody of her daughters, leading June to seek legal intervention. June is now raising Kaitlyn, while Kylee is under the care of her father, Michael Cardwell.
