Dylan Sprouse will take centre stage at the legendary race this weekend.
Announced as Grand Marshal by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Sprouse brings not only Hollywood charm but also an Indiana connection to the event.
Dylan’s upcoming comedy film ‘The Duel,’ was also partially filmed in Indianapolis. The movie, produced by Indiana's Pigasus Pictures, was recently acquired by Lionsgate for a summer theatrical release.
The actor shared a screenshot of Deadline's announcement about the film with the caption, “Very proud of this project. From 3 friends sitting down in Dan Tana’s to getting a theatrical release, this project is a reminder of why you should work with the ones you love.”
For those unfamiliar with the twins, Dylan rose to fame alongside his brother Cole on the Disney Channel sitcom ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.’ But his acting credits extend far beyond the halls of the Tipton Hotel.
According to IMDB, both Dylan and Cole began their acting careers in infancy, sharing the role of Julian in Adam Sandler's 1999 comedy ‘Big Daddy.’
Cole landed the role of Ben, Ross Geller's son, on the iconic sitcom ‘Friends,’ while Dylan continued acting alongside his brother in ‘The Suite Life.’
Although their identical appearances made it difficult to distinguish them early on, their paths diverged as they matured. In recent years, Cole has garnered a new generation of fans playing Jughead Jones in the hit CW series ‘Riverdale.’
This isn't Dylan's first Indy 500 rodeo, however. While it was Cole walking the red carpet in 2023, this year, Dylan gets the official Grand Marshal duties, which include giving the traditional pre-race command for drivers to report to their cars.
So, while you won't see Jughead at the Indy 500 this year, Dylan Sprouse is set to bring a touch of Hollywood magic to the 108th running of the legendary race.
