Is Tom Hardy not fired from 'MobLand'? New reports claim talks for actor's Season 3 return ongoing
Earlier reports suggested the actor had been dismissed due to tensions with the production team

Tom Hardy has not been fired from MobLand, with discussions currently underway to determine a creative path for his possible return, according to sources cited by Variety.
Despite recent reports suggesting the actor would not reprise his role as gangster Harry Da Souza in a potential third season of the Paramount+ series, production sources have confirmed that he remains in consideration.
“Tom was not fired, the door is not closed for Season 3 and things are being worked through creatively,” a source close to production told Variety.
The series, which stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren as leaders of a British crime family, is co-created by Ronan Bennett and Jez Butterworth, and produced by David Glasser’s 101 Studios alongside MTV Entertainment Studios.
Guy Ritchie serves as an executive producer and has directed several episodes across both seasons.
MobLand launched in 2025 and became one of Paramount+’s most-watched titles. Season 2 has already wrapped filming but has yet to premiere, while Season 3 had been preparing to enter production.
Reports of Hardy’s exit first emerged following claims of tensions between the actor, Butterworth and Glasser. Sources told Variety that while disagreements did take place, Hardy has not been formally dismissed and discussions are ongoing.
Issues reportedly include scheduling delays and creative disagreements over script revisions. One source said, “He’s difficult, but he’s a movie star,” noting that responsibility for the tensions is shared across parties involved.
Production sources also stated that Hardy had concerns about late script delivery, while others highlighted challenges caused by limited on-set availability from key creative figures, contributing to behind-the-scenes friction.
Despite this, insiders emphasise that the situation remains unresolved rather than final, with efforts continuing to find a workable solution for all parties involved.
