Malaysian influencer Jasmine Yong has shared the tragic news that her 2-year-old son, Enzo, died after drowning in a hotel pool while she and her husband, Lim Kong Wang, were asleep. The incident occurred earlier this month as the family was preparing to celebrate Mother's Day.

In a series of Instagram posts, Jasmine Yong detailed the events leading to her son's death. "As always, he snuggled up next to us and drank milk before falling asleep," she wrote, according to an English translation. The couple then took a nap, and upon waking, they discovered Enzo was no longer in the room. "When I woke up, I found that he was not next to me," she wrote, noting that "the originally locked door of the indoor swimming pool had been opened."

Yong found Enzo unresponsive in the pool and attempted CPR, but "there was no response." She added, "Due to the poor network in the hotel, we couldn't make a call for help either." The family rushed Enzo to the hotel lobby, where staff called an ambulance and provided first aid until it arrived. Enzo was taken to the hospital, where he initially regained his heartbeat but remained in a coma. Ultimately, Enzo's "heartbeat stopped" due to insufficient oxygen supply, Yong explained.

"Our baby Enzo has become a happy little angel," she wrote in one post. "There is no pain or hardship anymore."

Yong first announced Enzo's accident in an Instagram post on May 16, sharing that he was in the intensive care unit and asking her followers to pray for his recovery. "We need everyone's strength and blessings to pray that Enzo will wake up quickly and come back home," she wrote at the time, without revealing the details of the accident.

In addition to her explanation of the events, Jasmine shared images from a memorial for Enzo, including a video of people releasing balloons and photos of colorful drawings Enzo had made. "Thanks for everyone’s prayers and blessings," she wrote, urging her 472,000 Instagram followers not to "exaggerate, quote out of context, or make things out of nothing." She added, "No one wants this accident to happen. Please let baby Enzo leave in peace, thank you."

Jasmine Yong frequently shared her day-to-day life with Enzo and her husband on social media, where they enjoyed a large following. Enzo’s own Instagram account, managed by his parents, has 100,000 followers.

The incident has drawn significant attention online, with many expressing their condolences and support for the grieving family.
