Police arrest suspect in one case, launch manhunt in other

DIJKOT:

Two differently-abled girls were subjected to sexual assault in separate incidents in rural areas near Faisalabad.

A man was arrested on the charge of sexually assaulting a six-year-old deaf and dumb girl.

According to the police, a resident of Chak 65GB stated in his complaint that his six-year-old daughter was playing in front of his home when his neighbour Ali lured her to his house and sexually assaulted her.

“When my daughter made noise, the accused beat her up and threatened her,” he added.

The police arrested the suspect after conducting raids at several places and started his interrogation.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also sought a report about the incident from the inspector general of police and said that perpetrator should be severely punished.

She said the punishment for such cases would be increased soon.

In another incident, a brick kiln worker from Chak 610GB told the police that his 15-year-old deaf-mute daughter was at home when Imran entered it by scaling a wall and sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

The complainant said he was temporarily living along with his family at the kiln in the 140GB area.

The police registered a case and started a search for the suspect.

Meanwhile, a resident of Chak 65GB, Babar, was abducted allegedly by Shakur and his accomplices at gunpoint. Babar alleged he was taken to a camp of the accused where they subjected him to sexual assault. The police registered a case and launched efforts to arrest the suspects.
