Charge framed against YouTuber in gambling app case

Case involves Ducky Bhai, his wife and other co-accused and pertains to promotion of online gambling application

LAHORE:

A judicial magistrate on Monday framed charges against YouTuber Saadur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, his wife Aroob Jatoi and other co-accused in a case pertaining to the promotion of an online gambling application.

Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo of the Lahore District Courts formally indicted the accused after they pleaded not guilty to the charges.

During the hearing, Saad ur Rehman, his wife, and the other accused appeared before the court and marked their attendance.

The prosecutor read out the charge sheet, which was denied by all the defendants.

The court subsequently summoned prosecution witnesses for February 23.

According to the prosecution, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has already submitted the challan, alleging that the accused promoted illegal gambling activities through digital platforms.
