Francis Ford Coppola has given audiences a first glimpse into his long-awaited epic ‘Megalopolis’ with the release of the film's teaser trailer. The clip offers a tantalising look at the film's scale and ambition, featuring a star-studded cast, sweeping shots of a utopian society, and glimpses of political unrest.

‘Megalopolis’ is a Roman epic set in a modern American context, boasting an impressive ensemble cast led by Adam Driver, and also includes Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Jason Schwartzman, Laurence Fishburne, and many more.

The film has been a passion project for Coppola since 1983, and reportedly cost $120 million to produce, funded partly by the sale of a significant portion of his wine empire. Despite a recent screening for potential buyers, ‘Megalopolis’ is still seeking distribution, with industry insiders expressing concerns about the film's marketability.

Nevertheless, Coppola is pushing forward with his vision, and the film is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17th. The teaser trailer provides a glimpse into the director's grand ambitions for ‘Megalopolis’, promising a cinematic experience unlike any other.
