Kelly Clarkson recently opened up about her weight loss journey, revealing on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" that she's been taking prescription medication to address health concerns. During a conversation with guest Whoopi Goldberg, who also shared her own weight loss experience, Clarkson clarified that her medication is not Ozempic, a popular drug often associated with weight loss.

Clarkson explained that her doctor had been urging her to take the medication for two years due to concerning bloodwork results and a pre-diabetic diagnosis. She initially resisted due to fear and existing thyroid problems, but eventually decided to prioritise her health.

The singer described the medication as one that helps her body break down sugar more effectively, a function her body struggles with naturally. She also shared that she had previously lost weight by following her doctor's advice, adopting a healthier diet, and incorporating more physical activity into her routine in New York City.

Clarkson and Goldberg briefly discussed their heaviest weights before starting their respective medications, highlighting the significant impact these interventions have had on their health and well-being.
