SANGHAR:

A newlywed couple has appealed for security following their marriage against the wishes of their families.

Amir Begum, 20 and a resident of Ganjo Jhando village in District Hyderabad, has appealed to the government and police for protection after tying the nuptial knot with her cousin, Rahman Dilbar Ali, of her own volition.

While speaking at a press conference in Sanghar, the couple expressed concerns over increasing threats from relatives, including Mansoor, Shahid Ali, Sajid Ali, and Talib Hussain, who have turned hostile due to their free-will marriage.

The couple alleged that these relatives have filed fabricated FIRs against Rahman Dilbar Ali in two separate police stations in Hyderabad with attempts to secure his arrest through alleged police complicity.

The couple has asserted their right to live freely and in accordance with the law, demanding protection for their lives. They petitioned Sindh's chief minister, IG police, DIG Hyderabad, SSP Sanghar, and SSP Hyderabad for security and justice.

Amir Begum demanded immediate withdrawal of fabricated cases against her husband, stressing the importance of living without fear.

They said that if any harm reaches them, the persons they named should be held accountable because they are conspiring with certain political figures and the Hyderabad police.
