Traffic Trials: PM orders cost estimate for road projects

Prime Minister also directed them to prepare a cost estimate for widening the Chowk and building a flyover.

MULTAN: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani issued directives for working out a cost estimate to launch a project for the smooth flow of traffic at Rasheedabad Chowk.

Talking to commissioner Khurrum Ali Agha and district coordination officer (DCO) Zahid Akhtar Zaman at the airport before leaving for Lahore, the prime minister also directed them to prepare a cost estimate for widening the Chowk and building a flyover. He also asked officials to work out the estimate for compensation to shopkeepers and owners of shopping plazas who will most likely be affected by the  Rasheedabad Chowk project. The prime minister said that the roads needed to be widened to improve traffic conditions on an urgent basis.
